PAGE TO SCREEN: The Chuck Palahniuk interview
I mention the words "gateway drug" in my interview when referring to the decades of literary work from Chuck Palahniuk because I proudly claim him as mine tomake me really dig into contemporary literature. The man is at the forefront of the medium, smart to evolve his work to channels like graphic novel (FIGHT CLUB 2) and revisions (INVISIBLE MONSTERS REMIX) to continue to elevate what and who he reaches with his writing.
Massive thanks to A2 Content and Jesse Meria for capturing this interview when he visited Ann Arbor last year.
His thoughts are timely and topical, ranging from his love of literature, its ability to help escape, to those who are doing it well in his au courant circle of contemporaries and where his work may find itself through other mediums of storytelling via television and film.
Take a dive into the interview segments made available here:
Next up: visionary filmmaker GEREMY JASPER and his stand out feature PATTI CAKE$, which will be making its hip-hop-and-you-don't-stop limited release nationally in August. If you are in the Ann Arbor area, go see him and this Midwest premiere in person at the Cinetopia International Film Festival Saturday, June 3rd at the Michigan Theater.
